TrueReturn is a client-side web application. All calculations happen in your browser. No data you enter is ever transmitted to or stored on any server.

Nothing. TrueReturn does not collect, transmit, or store any personal information. There are no user accounts, no registration, and no forms that submit data to a server.

When you use TrueReturn, the property details and settings you enter are saved to your browser's local storage — a storage mechanism built into your browser that keeps data on your device only. This allows your work to persist between sessions without any server involvement.

Key points:

• Your data never leaves your device
• It remains in local storage until you clear your browser data or use the in-app reset function
• Different browsers and devices have separate local storage — your data does not sync across devices

TrueReturn includes a Save & Share feature that encodes your property data into a URL. If you copy and share that link with another person, they will be able to see the property details contained within it. Only share these links with people you trust.

PDF and XLSX exports are generated entirely within your browser. Export files are never uploaded or transmitted anywhere — they are downloaded directly to your device.

TrueReturn loads two JavaScript libraries — Chart.js and SheetJS (XLSX) — from a third-party content delivery network (jsDelivr, at cdn.jsdelivr.net). When your browser fetches these files, jsDelivr's servers will receive your IP address as part of a standard HTTP request. No personal data is included in these requests. All other resources, including fonts, are served directly from truereturn.au.

TrueReturn does not use cookies.

TrueReturn does not use any analytics platform, tracking pixel, session recording tool, or advertising technology. No information about your usage is collected or shared with third parties.

TrueReturn provides input fields for you to enter property and financial information. You are solely responsible for what you choose to enter and for any decisions made based on the tool's output. Do not enter sensitive personal or financial information you would not want visible in your browser's local storage or in a shareable URL.
